gratitude  Amidst the turbulence this year. It is a great one for me. As I begin my personal countdown and stocktaking of some of the critical decision taken this year especially towards my career goals and objectives. I'm grateful first to the Almighty God who gives the power to start and finish. And to everyone who have continually supported me in this journey. I pray for a double fold of God's favor into your individual lives. Working on a literary project presently that seek to discuss our enthralling cultural heritage and evolution process-- (The Igweship Institution) with  # Oba  in Anambra a case in focus. I'm ecstatic already at the impact this would make on my people and to the world at large. # obatotheworld # ifedinaoba # culture # history # Tradition # AnambraState # Nigeria

networking Yesterday was memorable for me as there was a ready platform and a very aware man with a daunting unique message for everyone. We all need side "hustle" that augments our main source of livelihood and social media is a tool to milk out that purpose. It is more than just a meet-greet networking platform for business owners and individuals, It is an alternate revenue base for many who are aware. Young people are beginning to complain less and are totally reducing the dependen cy on the inept, clueless government while taking charge of their future using this medium. I discussed my entrepreneurship journey and stressed on the right way to stay "motivated". I met seasoned speakers on that platform --- # Lawyers  and  # Doctors  and I was specially grateful to God for that opportunity to share my truth and exchange valuable contact. The child of a nobody. NB: If you don't believe in God, from this moment, you should begin to believe in G

BLACK AND WHITE MENTALITY

BLACK AND WHITE MENTALITY Studied extensively the sharp contrast in modifications between the African continent and others and the more I reflect on this absurd peculiarities, the more I come to terms with the glaring facts that the problem with the 'blacks' especially 'Africans' is that of mentality. The thought process is completely flawed down here. We are wired to look outside ourselves for solutions. Blame game well recycled which take us five steps forward and three steps backwards. The cerebral processing is wired to fixate "logical" blame to everything but ourselves. There must be reasons outside us for everything bad that happens in the polity. To the best of my own knowledge, looking at the countries of the world thriving amidst the harsh realities, They understood their predicaments at a point in time and administered specific, lasting internal solutions to them. Doesn't it surprise you that solutions that brought respite elsewhere

THE RIGHT TYPE OF FRIENDS

Image
THE RIGHT TYPE OF FRIENDS Vieson thawani shares the kinds of FRIENDS every one should have in order to succeed. Truth be told, if you are going to succeed, then you must accept that YOU CANNOT DO IT ALONE. It was Zig Ziglar who first said in his master piece "Born to Win" that “A lot of people have gone further than they thought they could, simply because, SOMEONE ELSE thought they could.” Below, I list the 6 kinds of Friends every man or woman with a GOAL should have in order to succeed. It is a journey and we need the right type of friends with the same mentality to thrive. We need mentors, innovators, cheerleaders, drivers, strategists, implementors. MENTORS: A Mentor is really NOT your friend. A mentor is your Coach. A mentor is someone who has been where you are going and knows how to get there. The powerful thing about having a Mentor is that.. you do NOT have to waste time trying to learn by experience. All you need to do is find someone who has done what

CAN YOU SPEAK YOUR MOTHER'S TONGUE

Image
CAN YOU SPEAK YOUR MOTHER'S TONGUE I'm filled with utmost concern when I see Ndigbo children who cannot speak their native, indigenous language and do nothing about it completely.  They do not care one bit about it, like it is not an issue at all. Met a very handsome lad as I navigated the easiest route to my destination earlier today. His "ngbati" "ngbati" was strong enough but couldn't speak a word from his indigenous language. This was verified. I spoke to him through my mother tongue intentionally after peering into the notepad visibly written on it was "Nonso Okwudiba". Nonso's fluency in his Lingua franca is top notch. Yet he cannot mouth a word in Igbo language in response to me. It is not something to be happy about. It is something to take seriously. We are losing all the best things of ourselves. I speak two Nigerian languages (Igbo and Yoruba) fluently which is because of the influence of my immediate

DISCUSSING TYPHOID FEVER

Image
DISCUSSING TYPHOID FEVER There are fundamental things you need to know about typhoid fever. Typhoid Fever is an infection caused by the bacteria called Salmonella Typhi. This disease is also known as gastric fever, enteric fever, abdominal typhus, infantile remittent fever, slow fever, nervous fever and pythogenic fever.  The germs (bacteria causing typhoid fever are mostly found in situations where good standards of hygiene are not maintained. In Nigeria, typhoid affects children and adults and if not properly treated could be fatal, it is largely a disease of developing nations due to their poor standard of hygiene and unavailability of portable water. It is transmitted faecal-orally through contaminated food and water. 1.      Wash your hands frequently thoroughly with soap and water especially after using the toilet and before eating. Hand washing is one of the simplest, yet, process extremely helpful habits you could develop. 2.      Cook your food proper

14 THINGS CREATIVE PEOPLE DO DIFFERENTLY Creativity is a mystical thing. It can arrive in a flash seemingly out of the blue or it can hide like a stubborn child. We all admire truly creative people, and it’s possible to become more creative by emulating some of the 14 habits below. 1. They question everything. Creative people come up with life-changing inventions and solutions to problems because they don’t accept things as they are. They ask why things are as they are and are not satisfied until they’ve solved the question. 2. They are intrinsically motivated. Creative people don’t do things for reward or recognition – they do it because something inside them drives them to. The reward for them lies in the challenge itself, whether it is doing the same drawing 34 times like Matisse or doing the same experiment thousands of times like Edison. 3. They daydream. Like meditation daydreaming is not doing nothing. Research has shown that daydreaming is probably a h

FROM MUSHIN WITH LOVE

I slayed with an uber to my destination and after keeping up that packaging, common sense said when coming back home, be humble. It was worth it. The rains came like a thief in the night, unprepared I was like a virgin raped on the eve of her wedding. It completely finished my beautiful shoes and I had to walk on my bare feet. My legs enmeshed in the murky waters of Idioro-mushin environment. That sinful water. Full with shit and hate. Mushin is NOT from God. Never a place to be if one have got other better options. No bathing can ever wash this stain away. It is very likely that no-one living in that zone would make heaven. They specifically dump all the plastic items they can find which includes bottled water cans on the road such that it blocks the drainage systems. When it rains, like it does now in Lagos. Pouring out like the miracle of the upper room where the comforter was sent and they began to speak in unknown tongues. All the remnants and debris barric
